This is a pivotal leadership role within a dynamic food manufacturing setting. You’ll be responsible for delivering daily and weekly KPIs across Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost — while developing your team and driving operational excellence. What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Leading and motivating a production team to consistently deliver KPI targets
- Coaching, developing, and training team members to support succession planning and business growth
- Planning and managing labour resources (permanent and temporary) to meet performance standards
- Championing product quality, ensuring all products meet customer specifications and presentation standards
- Maintaining a safe working environment aligned with site Health & Safety policies
- Upholding food safety, hygiene, legality, and housekeeping standards expected of a quality food manufacturer
- Ensuring full compliance with paperwork, traceability, and data accuracy
- Managing labour, packaging, and material variances to standard
- Acting as the senior responsible manager on shift, including weekends and nights
- Supporting internal and external audits and maintaining audit readiness
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Solid understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
- Experience managing KPIs across Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost
- Confident people manager with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Competent in Excel, Word, Outlook, and time & attendance systems
- A professional communicator who can engage effectively at all levels
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping a safe, quality-conscious, and technically strong workplace culture. You’ll have real influence over performance, people development, and continuous improvement — with the support of senior leadership and cross-functional teams. If you’re ready to lead from the front and make a measurable impact, we’d love to hear from you.
