An opportunity has arisen for an experienced physical trader to join a senior commercial team, focused on the execution of trading strategy, management of price risk and development of key customer relationships across domestic and export markets.
The Role
Reporting into senior commercial leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing trading strategies across physical markets while operating within clearly defined risk and governance frameworks. Key responsibilities include:
- Executing physical trading and sales strategies in line with agreed commercial objectives
- Managing relationships with a portfolio of end‑user and consumer customers
- Structuring forward sales and positions to ensure delivery against contractual and pooled commitments
- Using futures and derivative instruments appropriately to manage price exposure
- Working closely with origination, logistics, shipping and operations teams to ensure efficient physical execution
- Contributing market intelligence and insight to support wider commercial decision‑making
- Ensuring all trading activity is accurately recorded and compliant with internal risk policies and controls

This role will suit a commercially driven individual with strong execution discipline and experience operating in structured trading environments. The ideal candidate is likely to demonstrate:
- Proven experience trading physical commodities or comparable products
