A respected food trading company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator to oversee international logistics operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supply chain management, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to handle time-sensitive challenges with efficiency and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Logistics Manager in overseeing daily operations while contributing to strategic supply chain improvements.
- Supervise and coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring smooth import, export, and stock transfers.
- Take full responsibility for shipments, quickly addressing any issues to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain strong relationships with freight providers, storage facilities, and customs officials to reduce delays.
- Ensure full compliance with global trade laws, customs requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Address urgent logistics challenges, including occasional out-of-hours situations, to protect business interests.
- Work closely with senior management to provide insights into logistics performance, cost management, and process optimisation.
- Use SAP Business One or similar ERP systems to monitor logistics activities and generate reports.
