Role Overview:
We are looking for a Production / Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee the production process, ensuring efficient operations, product quality, and adherence to health and safety standards. This is a hands-on role where leadership, technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are key to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety guidelines.
- Achieve and exceed KPIs set by the Site Manager.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve processes and minimise machine downtime.
- Plan production runs to optimise waste reduction, product life, and customer dispatch times.
- Drive product quality and traceability, ensuring high standards are met.
- Work with the QA team to implement updates related to legislation and management systems.
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring products are available for dispatch on time.
- Manage production planning.
- Lead regular team briefs and foster a positive, motivated work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews for the production team and provide feedback to the Site Manager.
- Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
- Lead EHS and "Your Say" meetings in the absence of the Site Manager.
- Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and internal audits.
- Maintain audit-ready standards for hygiene, safety, and documentation control.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures.
- Familiarity with HACCP Level 3, Food Hygiene Level 3, and other industry-specific qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
