Are you a dedicated and proactive leader with a passion for food safety and team development? Our client (a leading food manufacturer) is seeking a Night Hygiene Manager to lead our hygiene operations on the night shift and help maintain the exceptional standards their brand is known for.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead a team of Hygiene Operatives to deliver top-tier hygiene standards across the site.
  • Drive continuous improvement in hygiene processes, visual and microbial standards, and cleaning practices.
  • Oversee audits, ensuring the site remains “audit-ready” and compliant with all regulations.
  • Be an active participant in HACCP/VACCP teams, promoting food safety best practices.
  • Deliver training on hygiene processes, chemical handling, and food safety regulations.
  • Manage hygiene chemical stocks, equipment use, and ensure safety in all hygiene operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement site-wide hygiene improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You’re a natural leader with a strong background in hygiene management within the food manufacturing sector.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
  • Food Safety Level 3 (minimum Level 2).
  • HACCP Level 3.
  • COSHH training.
  • Manual Handling & Safe Systems of Work knowledge.
  • Experience conducting accident investigations.
  • Proven success managing hygiene teams in high-risk/low-risk/low-care food production environments.
  • Deep understanding of cleaning procedures and food safety regulations.
  • Strong team-building and leadership skills.
