We’re hiring a Commercial Manager to retain and develop customer opportunities within a key account portfolio in the food ingredients sector. This role focuses on building strong relationships, maximizing sales, and ensuring volume and pricing targets are met. You’ll also provide technical experience of food ingredients, supporting customers in product development and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute account strategies to retain and grow business
- Provide technical expertise to support customers with product development
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
- Lead pricing and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business targets
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, supporting operational and financial planning
- Identify and drive new business opportunities, increasing product sales and volume
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance customer service and resolve issues
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within food (dairy preferable but not essential)
- Proven track record in B2B sales
- Strong account management and business development background
- Understanding of food science and market trends
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and financial management skills
- Ability to analyse customer needs and market dynamics to drive growth
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
Salary: Up to £52,000 + benefits package (dependent on experience)
Location: Hybrid, with occasional travel to West Yorkshire
