Are you a seasoned mechanical engineer with a passion for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and products? Due to our client’s increasing growth and project activity, they’re looking to recruit a highly skilled engineer to join their team, where you’ll be responsible for designing and developing all mechanical aspects of projects creating electro-mechanical sensor systems, components, and equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll design and develop mechanical systems and products, including 3D and FEA modelling and testing.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis using relevant software tools, whilst interpreting technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings to create mechanical designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are manufacturable.
- Participate in design reviews, and recommend design modifications.
- Create engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, and bills of materials.
- Select and qualify components and materials and ensure compliance with quality and industry standards.
A bit about you:
- You’ll have 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior position.
- Proven track record of designing and developing successful mechanical systems and components.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or robotics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, mechanics, and materials science.
- PHD or MSc/MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
