What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll be responsible for financial accounting and compliance for multiple legal entities across various countries, with end-to-end oversight of statutory reporting and related audits.
- This role serves as the escalation point for external service providers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory reports and maintain overall responsibility for the accuracy of statutory financials per local GAAP.
- Manage multiple direct reports remotely and oversee any outsourced service providers.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and country requirements for books and records.
- Proactively partner with commercial finance, tax, treasury, and legal teams on projects, finance compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures from a statutory perspective, ensuring local implications are understood and addressed.
A bit about you:
- Ideally, you’ll be based in the UK.
- You’ll have experience in managing large-scale construction contracts, plus a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, commercial, or legal fields.
- A few other key skills our client is looking for:
- Master’s degree in finance or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration.
- 7-8 years of experience in a similar finance function with in-depth knowledge of statutory GAAP and US-GAAP or IFRS accounting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in standard office software and hands-on experience with standard ERPs.
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading external audits and working within a matrix organisation and remote teams in a high-paced international environment.
