The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and capable Air Hygiene Supervisor with clear potential to progress into an Operations Manager role within 12–18 months. Initially, you will be responsible for supervising and managing a team of approximately 8 air hygiene engineers, ensuring the smooth delivery of works across the Midlands. As the division grows, this role will expand to full operational responsibility, including people management, performance, planning, and profitability of the air hygiene division. This is an excellent opportunity for a supervisor or senior engineer looking to take the next step into senior management.
Key Responsibilities (Initial Phase)
- Supervise and manage air hygiene engineers across multiple sites
- Oversee delivery of ventilation cleaning and TR19-compliant works
- Ensure all works meet health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Plan and coordinate jobs, labour, and resources
- Conduct site visits, audits, and quality inspections
- Complete and review reports, RAMS, and operational documentation
- Act as a key point of contact between engineers, clients, and management
Progression to Operations Manager (12–18 Months)
- Full operational management of the air hygiene division
- Leadership of a growing engineering workforce
- Resource planning, recruitment, and team development
- Supporting commercial performance and operational efficiency
- Working closely with senior leadership to drive growth and standards
Essential Requirements
- Strong background in air hygiene / ventilation cleaning
- Good working knowledge of TR19 standards
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of health & safety compliance
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the Midlands
Desirable Qualifications
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- PASMA / IPAF
- Grease Extract Cleaning certification
- First Aid at Work
