FMAS Group Ltd is looking for an experienced **Part-Time HR Manager / HR Advisor** to take ownership of the company's HR function and provide practical HR support to management.

This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced HR professional who can independently manage employee matters, maintain compliant HR processes and provide management with clear advice on employment-related issues.

  • ## Key Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day HR matters within **FMAS Group Ltd**
  • Act as the main point of contact for HR queries from management and employees
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, amendments and other HR documentation
  • Manage new starter and employee onboarding processes
  • Conduct and maintain right-to-work checks and associated documentation

* Manage recruitment processes, including

  • Preparing job advertisements
  • Reviewing applications and CVs
  • Candidate screening
  • Arranging interviews
  • Supporting management with candidate selection
  • Monitor employee attendance, sickness and absence
  • Maintain annual leave and employee records
  • Manage probation periods and coordinate probation reviews
  • Support management with employee performance issues
  • Coordinate performance reviews and improvement plans
  • Advise management on disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures where required
  • Assist with workplace investigations
  • Prepare formal HR correspondence and meeting documentation
  • Take meeting notes for formal HR matters where necessary
  • Manage employee leavers and offboarding
  • Coordinate information required for payroll
  • Review and maintain company HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with current UK employment legislation
  • Maintain appropriate records relating to employee documentation and expiry dates
  • Support management with workforce planning and recruitment requirements
  • Provide regular HR updates and reports to directors
  • Identify areas where HR processes and procedures can be improved

We are looking for someone with

  • Previous experience as an HR Manager, HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar
  • Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience handling employee relations matters independently
  • Experience with disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Experience managing sickness, absence and performance matters
  • Experience preparing employment contracts and HR documentation
  • Knowledge of right-to-work requirements
  • Recruitment and onboarding experience
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
  • High levels of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Confidence advising managers and directors
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of HR matters
  • Good judgement when dealing with sensitive employee situations
  • ## Qualifications

A **CIPD qualification or CIPD study** would be advantageous.
