Are you an experienced FM Estimator looking for your next challenge with a growing and ambitious organisation? FM Talent Partners is supporting a leading facilities management business that is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their commercial team.
This is a key role responsible for leading the preparation of accurate, competitive and commercially focused estimates and proposals for new business opportunities, renewals and major contract tenders. You will play a critical role in supporting business growth by combining technical FM knowledge, commercial understanding and strong stakeholder management skills.
The Role
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex FM contracts and projects
- Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, risk and profitability
- Review tender documents, specifications, SLAs and client requirements
- Support bid/no-bid decisions through commercial and risk analysis
- Lead pricing reviews and present recommendations to senior leadership
- Manage the internal approval process for tenders and submissions
- Work closely with Business Development, Sales and Operations teams
- Support successful mobilisation and handover of new contracts
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and specialist subcontractors
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience within FM estimating
- Strong experience pricing complex FM contracts
- Knowledge of SFG20 schedules, SLAs and contract requirements
- Experience managing tender processes from opportunity through to submission
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of margins and risk
- Excellent Excel and reporting skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with internal stakeholders and clients
Ideally you will have experience within:
- Hard FM
- Technical FM services
- M&E / Engineering environments
- Large-scale service contracts
A background in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
