Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a reputable and growing Facilities Management company operating across Essex & East London. This is a mobile role, working across a portfolio of commercial sites, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems
- Service, repair, and maintain commercial boilers, heating systems, and associated plant
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current gas safety regulations and company standards
- Complete accurate job reports and documentation
- Liaise with clients on-site and provide a high level of customer service
- Participate in an on-call rota where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within a facilities management or building services environment
- Relevant commercial gas qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, etc.)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
