FM Search & Select are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to join a well-established organisation in Midlothian. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with maintenance, caretaking, or facilities experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a busy site environment.

The Role

As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day upkeep of the site, ensuring that buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to a high standard. Duties will include:

  • Carrying out minor maintenance works including lamp changes and basic repairs
  • Fire alarm and emergency lighting testing
  • Water temperature testing and compliance checks
  • Repairing fixtures and fittings
  • Assisting with the upkeep of grounds, roadways, and car parks
  • Litter picking and maintaining site presentation
  • Supporting health & safety procedures across the site
  • Using internal systems to record maintenance activities and compliance checks

Essential Requirements

  • Previous maintenance, caretaking, or facilities experience
  • Good practical maintenance skills

  • Facilities Management experience
