The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical projects from inception through to completion.

  • Managing mechanical and M&E projects from award through to completion
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification
  • Leading and coordinating project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Managing project costs and reporting financial performance to senior management
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for additional works and future business growth
  • Preparing quotations and tenders for project variations and additional works
  • Ensuring all installations comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Supporting technical delivery through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducting staff appraisals and supporting employee development and succession planning
  • Promoting a positive health, safety, and compliance culture across all projects

About You

The successful candidate will come from a strong mechanical background and possess proven project management experience within Building Services, M&E, or Mechanical Services environments.

Candidates should have experience within areas such as:

  • Plumbing
  • Heating
  • Pipefitting
  • Mechanical Building Services
  • Commercial Mechanical Installations

Essential Requirements

  • HNC or above in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong technical and project management experience within M&E or Mechanical Services
  • Excellent commercial and financial awareness
  • Proven experience delivering projects safely and profitably
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop project teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High levels of self-motivation and leadership capability

Desirable

  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Financial management experience
  • Experience leading multiple projects and teams
