We are working with a growing Facilities Management division that is expanding its project delivery capability across the North East. As a result, they are looking to appoint a Head of Projects to lead, develop, and scale their FM project function.
This is a senior leadership role and will suit someone with a strong technical M&E background who has delivered FM projects within live operational environments.
As Head of Projects, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of FM-led projects across a diverse portfolio, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, clients, and operational teams to drive growth, improve processes, and support the wider FM business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the delivery of M&E and FM projects across multiple sites
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
- Take ownership of project governance, budgets, programme, and commercial performance
- Ensure full compliance with H&S, statutory, and client requirements
- Support tendering, pricing, and mobilisation of new FM project works
- Build strong client relationships and act as a senior point of escalation
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, systems, and reporting
- Proven experience in a senior FM projects role (Head of Projects / Senior Project Manager / Projects Director level)
- Technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (essential)
- Strong experience delivering projects within Facilities Management, not construction-only
- Comfortable working in live environments alongside operational FM teams
- Strong leadership, commercial, and stakeholder management skills
- Salary is competitive depending on experience
