Commercial Catering Engineer – Mobile Location: East of Scotland, covering the Central Belt Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Benefits: On-Call Rota | Overtime Opportunities | Company Vehicle FM Search & Select are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to join a well-established building services company. This is a mobile role, ideally suited to an engineer based in the East of Scotland, covering commercial sites across the Central Belt. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and reactive repairs on commercial catering equipment. * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and gas-related faults, where appropriately qualified. * Attend breakdowns and ensure equipment is returned to full working order efficiently. * Service and maintain a range of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers and other catering appliances. * Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately. * Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations. * Build and maintain positive relationships with clients. * Participate in an on-call rota, with occasional overtime available. Requirements * Previous experience working as a Commercial Catering Engineer. * Strong fault-finding, servicing and repair experience. * Relevant commercial catering gas qualifications (COMCAT) for gas equipment work. * Good electrical and mechanical knowledge. * Ability to work independently in a mobile engineering role. * Full UK driving licence. * Good communication and customer service skills. * Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota and occasional overtime.
