Ready to take the next step in your engineering career? We're working with a leading Facilities Management company looking to recruit a Lead Engineer for a large static site in Inverness. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician / Building Services Engineer who wants to take on more responsibility while remaining hands-on. You don't necessarily need to already be working as a Lead Engineer. We're equally interested in speaking with experienced Engineers who are technically strong, confident dealing with clients and ready to take the next step.

The Role

You’ll support the day-to-day delivery of maintenance across the site, working across electrical and general building services. Responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Fault finding, repairs and electrical remedial works.
  • Supporting and coordinating the day-to-day engineering workload.
  • Providing technical guidance and support where required.
  • Completing general building and facilities maintenance.
  • Carrying out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
  • Undertaking minor fabric works and general handyperson duties.
  • Supporting maintenance across doors, fixtures, fittings and other building fabric.
  • Liaising with specialist contractors and service providers.
  • Ensuring PPM and reactive tasks are completed within required timescales.
  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and compliance.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for the client and building strong relationships on site.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally come from an electrical maintenance background with experience working across commercial buildings, Facilities Management or Building Services. We’re looking for someone who is happy to be multi-skilled and hands-on, rather than limiting themselves solely to electrical work.

A recognised electrical qualification and 18th Edition certification is preferred.
