We are representing a leading national soft services provider seeking an experienced Venue Operations Manager for a high-profile, fixed-term project within a major live venue environment. This role requires a confident, hands-on operational leader who can manage large teams, respond quickly to change, and maintain exceptional service standards in a fast-paced setting.

The Role

  • You will have full responsibility for service delivery within a designated venue, overseeing cleaning operations and leading on-site management teams.
  • Acting as the senior on-site contact, you will liaise closely with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end operational management of venue-based cleaning services
  • Leadership of supervisors, administrators, and large operational workforces
  • Workforce planning, rotas, overtime, and short-notice staffing changes
  • Oversight of pre-event, live, and post-event cleaning activity
  • Performance monitoring through audits, inspections, and reporting
  • Primary operational point of contact for venue stakeholders
  • Health & safety compliance and training oversight
  • Close collaboration with HR and Payroll to support recruitment and onboarding
  • Rapid issue resolution in a live, high-pressure environment

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in operations, venue, or cleaning management
  • Background in live environments such as venues, events, stadia, transport hubs, or similar
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing large teams
  • Highly organised, decisive, and calm under pressure
  • Professional communicator with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and operational systems
  • Full UK driving licence - essential

Package & Details

  • Contract: Fixed-term project role (Feb - Aug 2026 approx.)
  • Salary: £38,000 pro rata + completion bonus
  • Hours: Full-time with flexibility (evenings/weekends during peak periods)
  • Location: Glasgow area (office-based initially, venue-based during delivery)
