Service Coordinator
π Baillieston, Glasgow π· Up to Β£35,000 DOE π 37.5 Hours Per Week Monday β Thursday: 8:00am β 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am β 2:00pm
We're working with a growing engineering business to recruit an experienced Service Coordinator to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment and thrives on keeping engineers, customers and jobs organised.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the service department while delivering an excellent customer experience.
The Role
As the first point of contact for customers, engineers and subcontractors, you'll be responsible for coordinating reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and quoted works, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule reactive, PPM and quoted maintenance works.
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, engineers and subcontractors.
- Allocate engineers based on location, skill set and availability.
- Monitor job progress and update schedules where required.
- Raise purchase orders for subcontractors and obtain ETAs and job updates.
- Update and close completed jobs.
- Manage customer enquiries and provide regular progress updates.
- Prepare work instructions, service documentation and reports.
- Support the Project Manager with project administration, quotations and purchase orders.
- Carry out job costing and invoicing.
- Coordinate parts, access arrangements and engineer documentation.
- Maintain accurate service records and customer information.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
Essential
- Previous experience in a Service Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience working within a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- Previous experience within an engineering or Facilities Management environment.
- Experience working within a small business.
- Experience using service management or CAFM systems.
