Multi-Skilled Engineer (Commercial Gas & F-Gas)

Location: Glasgow – Covering the West of Scotland Salary: Up to £48,000 + Company Van + Fuel Card

The Company

Our client is a well-established and growing Facilities Management provider delivering planned and reactive maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties throughout the West of Scotland.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their engineering team.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and small remedial works across a variety of commercial sites including offices, retail, industrial and public sector buildings.

This role is ideally suited to an engineer with strong Commercial Gas experience who also holds F-Gas certification and enjoys working across a varied portfolio of mechanical and HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across commercial properties.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
  • Service, repair and maintain commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
  • Carry out maintenance and minor repairs on air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Complete statutory inspections and ensure all work complies with current regulations.
  • Identify remedial works and provide accurate reports to management.
  • Complete all job sheets, service reports and compliance documentation accurately.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.
  • Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have

Essential

  • Commercial Gas qualifications.
  • F-Gas Certification.
  • Previous experience working within Facilities Management or commercial building maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience servicing and repairing commercial heating systems.
  • Good knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
