Facilities Maintenance Operative 📍 Central Belt, Scotland – Mobile Role 💰 £33,000 – £35,000 🚐 Company Van ⏰ Overtime Available 📄 Permanent, Full-Time We are recruiting for an experienced Handyperson / Facilities Maintenance Operative to join a busy Facilities Management team, carrying out planned maintenance and general facilities duties across a portfolio of commercial sites throughout Scotland, predominantly across the Central Belt. This is a varied mobile role suited to someone with good all-round maintenance skills who is comfortable carrying out PPMs, basic plumbing, water hygiene checks and general fabric maintenance. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across commercial sites * General handyperson and facilities maintenance duties * Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance * Water temperature monitoring and sampling * Carry out general water hygiene checks * Installation and replacement of air filters * Use anemometers and take relevant readings during PPM visits * Inspect and clean coils * Inspect ductwork and report any defects * Replace fire links within fire dampers * Carry out basic painting and joinery works * Support general HVAC and mechanical maintenance * Identify faults and report any required remedial works * Complete PPM tasks within required deadlines * Maintain accurate records of completed works Experience Required * Previous experience within a Facilities Management, Handyperson, Maintenance Operative or similar role * Previous PPM maintenance experience is essential * Good general maintenance and practical skills * Basic plumbing knowledge * Experience carrying out water temperature checks / water hygiene duties would be advantageous * Good understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance * Experience with AHUs and overdoor heaters would be beneficial, although training can be provided * Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential * Ability to work independently across multiple client sites * Full clean UK driving licence is essential This would suit someone from a Handyperson, Facilities Maintenance Operative, Fabric Engineer, Multi-Skilled Operative or General Maintenance Operative background looking for a permanent mobile position with a varied workload
