We are currently recruiting for an experienced Events Manager to join a leading FM business supporting operations for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major global sporting event and add a world-class project to your CV.

The Role

Working across multiple venues during the Games period, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of cleaning and event support operations within a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day cleaning operations across event venues
  • Leading and supervising cleaning teams throughout the Games period
  • Managing staff rotas and ensuring adequate staffing levels across shifts
  • Liaising with stakeholders and venue management teams
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained across all venues during live events
  • Supporting operational planning and responding to any on-site issues efficiently

The role will form part of a dedicated events team, working closely alongside other Event Managers, a dedicated Project Manager, and with full support from an on-site Administrator. Due to the nature of the event, flexibility is essential, as the role will involve rotational early starts and late finishes throughout the Games period. Travel between venues will also be required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an Events Manager or within large-scale event operations
  • Experience managing cleaning or FM operations is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage teams within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders and operational teams
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential
  • Flexible approach to working hours during the event period
