We’re recruiting a Business Development Manager to join a growing Soft Services Facilities Management business. This is a newly created role, introduced to support continued expansion and increasing demand across the Central Belt, with wider support throughout Scotland. This opportunity would suit a proven cleaning / soft services sales professional who understands FM contracts and enjoys building long-term client relationships.
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying, winning, and developing new soft services FM contracts, with a focus on cleaning services. You’ll work closely with operational teams to ensure solutions are commercially sound and deliverable.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and secure new soft services FM / cleaning contracts
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract award
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and managing agents
- Work collaboratively with operations to scope and price tenders
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline across the Central Belt and Scotland
- Represent the business professionally within the FM market
- Proven experience in soft services FM / cleaning sales (essential)
- Strong understanding of FM contracts, SLAs, and service delivery
- Track record of winning new business within cleaning or soft services
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Competitive basic salary (DOE)
