Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established and growing FM / Building Services provider covering Edinburgh and Fife. This is a mobile role working across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable position, a strong package, and long-term career prospects within a reputable business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial sites
  • Service, repair, and maintain commercial gas appliances and heating systems
  • Diagnose faults on boilers and associated plant equipment
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with current regulations and health & safety standards
  • Complete all relevant documentation and compliance paperwork accurately
  • Liaise with clients on-site, providing updates and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Identify and report any additional or remedial works required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
  • Valid commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a mobile maintenance role (preferred)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer-facing ability
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

Desirable

  • Experience within FM / Building Services environments
  • Additional qualifications such as LPG, Oil, F-Gas, or basic electrical knowledge
  • Multi-skilled background
