Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established and growing FM / Building Services provider covering Edinburgh and Fife. This is a mobile role working across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable position, a strong package, and long-term career prospects within a reputable business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial sites
- Service, repair, and maintain commercial gas appliances and heating systems
- Diagnose faults on boilers and associated plant equipment
- Ensure all works are completed in line with current regulations and health & safety standards
- Complete all relevant documentation and compliance paperwork accurately
- Liaise with clients on-site, providing updates and maintaining strong working relationships
- Identify and report any additional or remedial works required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
- Valid commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent)
- Experience working within a mobile maintenance role (preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer-facing ability
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Desirable
- Experience within FM / Building Services environments
- Additional qualifications such as LPG, Oil, F-Gas, or basic electrical knowledge
- Multi-skilled background
