We’re recruiting for an experienced Fabric Technician to join a well-established facilities team covering sites across Dundee and the North East of Scotland. If you’re a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in high standards and wants a role without the pressure of an on-call rota, this could be a great opportunity.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality building fabric maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites. This is a mobile role, working across multiple locations, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant and well presented. Typical duties will include:
- General building repairs and maintenance
- Joinery works (doors, locks, ironmongery, fixtures)
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Basic painting and decorating
- Flooring and ceiling tile repairs
- Supporting small project works and refurbishments
- Identifying defects and reporting remedial requirements
- Working closely with engineers and site teams to maintain standards
You’ll be trusted to manage your workload efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with clients and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Fabric Technician / Building Maintenance role
- Strong all-round building fabric knowledge
- Experience working in commercial or FM environments
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence
A trade background (joinery or similar) would be advantageous.
