FM Search & Select are working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded HVAC contractor to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to join their senior team in Glasgow. This is a key strategic role focused on driving new business growth across the HVAC and building services market, developing long-term client relationships, and securing high-value commercial contracts.

About the Role

  • Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the HVAC sector
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Managing the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement through to contract award
  • Working closely with estimating, projects, and operational teams to ensure commercially viable solutions
  • Developing and delivering a structured sales and growth strategy for the business
  • Attending client meetings, tenders, and industry events
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting to senior leadership
  • Representing the business professionally and consistently within the market

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Business Development role within HVAC/ building services or construction
  • Proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term client relationships
  • Strong understanding of the commercial HVAC market and project lifecycle
  • Experience working for established HVAC or mechanical contractors
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially astute, and results-driven
  • Able to work autonomously while contributing at a senior leadership level
