An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Area Manager to join a leading Facilities Management and Cleaning Services company. Based in the East of Scotland, this role will oversee a portfolio of commercial cleaning contracts, ensuring service delivery, client satisfaction, and team performance across multiple sites. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with a hands-on approach, capable of managing people, budgets, and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple commercial sites.
  • Manage and support a team of site supervisors and cleaning operatives, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular site audits, quality inspections, and H&S checks.
  • Manage staff rotas, recruitment, and training to ensure full coverage and development.
  • Control budgets and monitor stock levels, labour hours, and operational costs.
  • Respond promptly to client queries, service issues, and reactive cleaning requirements.
  • Drive performance improvements and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

About You

  • Previous experience in an Area Manager or Cleaning Supervisor role within commercial cleaning or FM.
  • Excellent people management and client-facing skills.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence (company car provided).
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel between sites.
