Job Description:

FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Light division based at our Hickstead depot. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts. As our Traffic Management Operative, you will work as part of a team to carry out services including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining, and removing traffic management.

The duties of the Traffic Management Operative role will include:

  • Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
  • Assisting with the diversion of traffic
  • Maintaining and removing traffic lights within the required time scale
  • Managing traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring public compliance
  • Working closely with management and crews, taking instructions from the management team
  • Ensuring site safety and conducting on-site assessments
  • Taking appropriate action in emergencies, including notifying relevant personnel
  • Being on call, out of hours on a rota basis if required

What skills and experience do you need?

Applicants should have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card and Lantra tickets for traffic management, be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings, and comply with provided RAMS.
