FM Conway is seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dedicated Water and Drainage Management team. In this vital role, you'll help protect communities and keep essential infrastructure running smoothly. Working as part of a two-person crew, you will be at the front line of drainage operations: from drain cleaning and clearance to repair and maintenance work. Using specialised vehicles and equipment, you will help ensure that water flows freely through drainage systems, preventing flooding, minimising disruption, and supporting a healthier environment. This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Telford.
Duties
- Carry out a wide range of drainage services, including high‑pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean and maintain drainage networks.
- Respond promptly to drainage issues and emergency callouts, tackling blockages, overflows and other urgent problems to keep water flowing safely and efficiently.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance by clearing, cleaning and repairing drainage systems as part of routine operations or urgent interventions.
- Accurately record and report all work carried out, including identifying and flagging any additional issues that require follow‑up.
- Use the app‑based reporting system to update job progress, upload photos and videos, and ensure clear communication with the wider team.
Qualifications
- Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Reliability and teamwork are essential; previous experience in the drainage industry is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided for the right candidate.
