FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Management division based from our Stevenage depot. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts.

As our Traffic Management Operative, you will work as part of a team to carry out a range of services including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining and removing traffic management. Opportunities for overtime and night work will also be regularly available at an industry leading rate.

The duties of the Traffic Management Operative role will include:

  • Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
  • Assisting with the diversion of traffic
  • Maintaining and removing the traffic lights within the required time scale
  • Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring public are abiding by lights
  • Working closely with management and crews and taking instructions from the management team
  • Ensuring that sites are safe and carrying out on site assessments
  • Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate people are notified
  • To be available on a rota basis for out-of-hours on-call duty if needed

What skills and experience do you need?

To be considered for this role you will have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card and a traffic management Lantra ticket. You must also be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and be aware and comply with the provided RAMS.
