FM Conway is currently seeking a Highways Electrician to join our Digital Urban Solutions division. As our Highways Electrician, you will be working within a team on electrical street lighting installation and ensuring that all site works are executed in time. You will be working across a range of high-profile projects across London. This is a permanent, full-time position based from our Paddington Office.

The duties of the role will include:

  • Working within health and safety plans, method statements and risk assessments
  • Working with awareness of incident reporting, SWMP and environmental plans provided
  • Interpreting scaled drawings of basic electrical installations and detailed drawings of underground cabling
  • Ensuring that all site works are executed in a time and cost-efficient manner whilst ensuring regular liaison with the supervisor
  • Maintaining plant, vehicle and materials record sheets to support the works programme as well as ensuring that all plant is fit for purpose and maintained to required standards

What skills and experience do you need?

You will have previous experience of working in the Street Lighting industry, ideally you will have the ability to coordinate street lighting operations and you may hold a Class 2 HGV license. You will hold a G39 certification, health and safety, safe isolation and 18th edition. This role will involve travel to other FM Conway and customer locations therefore, the job holder must be able to drive and possess a full UK driving licence.
