FM Conway is currently looking to recruit an Asphalt Plant Lead Fitter to join our Aggregates and Asphalt division. You will play a key role in ensuring all required maintenance duties are carried out efficiently, including preventative maintenance, attending to breakdowns, and executing mechanical repairs, fabrication, welding and maintaining high housekeeping standards. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Heathrow Asphalt Plant.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all aspects of the Asphalt and Mobile Plant maintenance are carried out in accordance with statutory legislation and FM Conway Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies.
  • Produce and review risk assessments, method statements, permits to work and procedures for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment is subject to the planned preventative maintenance scheme and inspection.
  • Keep the site in a safe condition to work safely and optimise plant availability and efficiency within operational budgets.
  • Collaborate with all operations personnel and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Travel to and support other sites with maintenance in the event of breakdowns and/or planned maintenance shutdowns.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Asphalt Plant Lead Fitter with experience in mechanical repair, welding and fabrication skills; burning skills also required.
