FM Conway is seeking a Trainee Environmental Advisor to join our SHEQ department. As our Trainee Environmental Advisor, you will provide operational, administrative and analytical support to the Environmental Manager, focusing on environmental compliance within the SHEQ department and operating divisions. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their environmental career and gain experience within the civils and infrastructure industry. This role is a full-time, 9-month fixed-term contract based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent, covering London and the South East.
The duties of the Trainee Environmental Advisor will include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of environmental management systems and documentation
- Assisting with and undertaking site inspections across plants, depots and project sites, reporting findings and ensuring compliance
- Raising corrective actions and managing them through to close out
- Logging and managing environmental incidents and complaints
- Liaising with regulators, clients, consultants and internal teams
- Supporting responses to regulatory requests and assisting with permits and planning applications
- Collecting, analysing and reporting environmental data to support audits, reports and decision-making
- Maintaining accurate records within online management systems
