FM Conway is delighted to be recruiting a Planning and Distribution Apprentice to join our growing and successful Aggregate and Asphalt division. You will be working in a supported learning environment, where you will develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be a successful member of the Planning and Distribution team. This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our Head Office in Sevenoaks, Kent.

The duties of the Planning and Distribution Apprentice role will include:

  • Developing an understanding of our manufacturing processes and material capabilities to enable economic distribution planning whilst supporting efficient production
  • Assisting with the planning and allocation of haulage resources to ensure timely, efficient and cost-effective delivery of asphalt and aggregate products
  • Effectively planning customers orders on our asphalt plants to ensure all orders are fulfilled with optimum benefit for both customers and the business
  • Building an understanding of our supplier and haulier processes, including ticket management and payment queries
  • Being responsible for the successful completion of your apprenticeship

What skills and experience do you need? The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. You will have good relationship building skills, strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. For this opportunity, you will need to have achieved a minimum grade of 4 and above in your GCSE Maths and English.
