FM Conway is seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dedicated Water and Drainage Management team. In this vital role, you’ll help protect communities and keep essential infrastructure running smoothly. Working as part of a two-person crew, you’ll be at the front line of drainage operations, from drain cleaning and clearance to repair and maintenance work. Using specialised vehicles and equipment, you'll help ensure that water flows freely through drainage systems, helping to prevent flooding, minimise disruption, and support a healthier environment. This is a full-time, permanent role, working nights, based in Sittingbourne, Kent.

The duties of the HGV Class 2 Driver role will include:

  • Carrying out a wide range of drainage services, including high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean, and maintain drainage networks.
  • Responding promptly to drainage issues and emergency callouts, tackling blockages, overflows, and other urgent problems to keep water flowing safely and efficiently.
  • Supporting planned and reactive maintenance by clearing, cleaning, and repairing drainage systems as part of routine operations or urgent interventions.
  • Using our app-based reporting system to update job progress, upload photos/videos, and ensure clear communication with the wider team.

We’re looking for reliable, committed individuals who hold a Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC. While previous experience in the drainage industry is preferred, it’s not essential - full training can be provided for the right candidate.

As our HGV Class 2 Driver, we will offer you a range of fantastic benefits including career and professional development, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, life assurance, opportunities for internal and external training and access to a wide range of shopping discounts through our Rewarding Great People platform.

We pride ourselves on our core values, creating a culture around Care, Innovation, Integrity and Excellence. You’ll be joining our Water and Drainage Management Division - one of the fastest-growing and most innovative areas of our business. This dynamic division delivers a full range of services, including drainage surveys, maintenance, and rehabilitation across the entire highway network. As part of this forward-thinking team, you’ll be working on the front line of infrastructure maintenance, supported by one of the UK’s largest and most technically advanced specialist transport fleets. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that’s not only growing rapidly but also shaping the future of water and drainage solutions.

We recognise that our workforce should reflect our diverse communities and we are proudly committed to creating an inclusive culture in which we celebrate and value individuals from all walks of life.
