FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Management division based from our Chelsfield depot. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts. As our Traffic Management Operative, you will work as part of a team to carry out a range of services including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining and removing traffic management. Opportunities for overtime and night work will also be regularly available at an industry-leading rate.

The duties of the Traffic Management Operative role will include:

  • Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
  • Assisting with the diversion of traffic
  • Maintaining and removing the traffic lights within the required time scale
  • Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring public are abiding by lights
  • Working closely with management and crews and taking instructions from the management team
  • Ensuring that sites are safe and carrying out on-site assessments
  • Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate people are notified
  • To be available on a rota basis for out-of-hours on-call duty if needed

What skills and experience do you need?

To be considered for this role you will have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card and a traffic management Lantra ticket. You must also be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and be aware and comply with the provided RAMS.
