In this vital role, you'll help protect communities and keep essential infrastructure running smoothly. Working as part of a two-person crew, you'll be at the front line of drainage operations, from drain cleaning and clearance to repair and maintenance work. Using specialised vehicles and equipment, you'll help ensure that water flows freely through drainage systems, helping to prevent flooding, minimise disruption, and support a healthier environment. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Cheshire.

The duties of the HGV Class 2 Driver role will include:

  • Carrying out a wide range of drainage services, including high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean, and maintain drainage networks.
  • Responding promptly to drainage issues and emergency callouts, tackling blockages, overflows, and other urgent problems to keep water flowing safely and efficiently.
  • Supporting planned and reactive maintenance by clearing, cleaning, and repairing drainage systems as part of routine operations or urgent interventions.
  • Accurately recording and reporting all work carried out, including identifying and flagging any additional issues that require follow-up.
  • Using our app-based reporting system to update job progress, upload photos/videos, and ensure clear communication with the wider team.

What skills and experience do you need? We're looking for reliable, committed individuals who hold a Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC. You'll enjoy working as part of a team and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety. While previous experience in the drainage industry is preferred, it's not essential - full training can be provided for the right candidate.

What benefits will you receive? As our HGV Class 2 Driver, we will offer you a range of fantastic benefits including career and professional development, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, life assurance, opportunities for internal and external training and access to a wide range of shopping discounts through our Rewarding Great People platform.
