FM Conway is currently seeking a Plant Driver to join our Transport Division based from our Dartford depot. As our Plant Driver, you will deliver and relocate plant, machinery, and palletised materials to site. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday 05:00–15:00.
The duties of the Plant Driver role will include:
- Driving an allocated HGV Class 2 vehicle or other company Class 2 vehicles in conjunction with the supervisors' instructions
- Completing required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Adhering to all company compliance regulations such as compliance of HGV licenses, Digital Tachograph regulations and CPC
- Completing and submitting pre and post shift defect walk around checks using the daily defect app
- Adhering to the EU tachograph regulations and mobile workers Working Time Directive
- Being flexible in accordance with business needs if extra time is required to complete work
What skills and experience do you need?
The successful candidate will hold a full UK driving license, HGV Class 2 license, ALLMI/NPORS certificate for remote crane and hook attachment, as well as a full CPC and Digital Tachograph card. You will have excellent knowledge of UK driving legislation and knowledge of London lorry ban legislation. You will also hold a Load and Secure certificate and have experience in loading plant and machinery.
