FM Conway has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and people focused Customer Service Supervisor to join our Aggregates and Asphalt division. As our Customer Service Supervisor, you will lead a team of Customer Service Advisors ensuring all customer enquiries are handled efficiently and to the highest standard. Working closely with the Service Delivery Supervisor, you'll oversee daily team operations, support customer relationships, and drive a culture of service excellence across the department. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our head office in Sevenoaks, working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30.
The duties of the Customer Service Supervisor role will include:
- Leading, motivating and supporting the Customer Service team to deliver a first class service
- Overseeing daily workloads, ensuring all customer orders and enquiries are processed accurately and on time
- Building strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and resolving any issues efficiently
- Working closely with planning and operational teams to coordinate customer orders and delivery schedules
- Managing customer escalations and identifying opportunities to improve service and processes
- Monitoring team performance and providing coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement
- Promoting a positive, collaborative and customer focused team culture
What skills and experience do you need?
You will have previous experience in a customer service supervisory or team leader role, ideally within a fast paced environment such as the asphalt, construction or manufacturing businesses. You'll be confident communicating with both customers and colleagues, highly organised and comfortable leading by example. Strong IT skills and a hands on approach are essential, along with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
