FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Control Centre Operator to join our Transport for London – HMPF contract. You will manage and coordinate highways incidents and defects on the Transport for London (TfL) road network. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous success we have with Transport for London, to ensure a streamlined and efficient approach to incidents and repairs. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working days and nights 07:00-19:00 or 19:00 – 07:00 on a 4 on 4 off basis. This position will be based from our Beddington Lane depot in Croydon, South London.
The duties of the Control Centre Operator role will include:
-Answering calls from the client and dealing with their request quickly and efficiently
-Escalating serious incidents to internal/external stakeholders and keeping them regularly updated throughout the incident
-Dispatching the closest incident response unit to ensure the KPI on response is met
-Keeping the internal systems and the client’s system up to date
-Liaising with Supervisors and work teams
We are looking for candidates with experience in a similar role, managing incidents and dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders on the phone and via email. You will have excellent attention to detail and a strong customer focus. Ideally, you will have worked within the highways/construction industry, although this is not essential. To be successful in this role you will need to have good IT skills, an organised nature and experience within planning.
