FM Conway are currently recruiting Highways Maintenance Operative Apprentices to join our Term Maintenance Division, working on a number of key projects based in Central London. You will work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge required to complete a Level 2 Highways Maintenance Operative qualification. As part of the Term Maintenance team, you will gain hands-on experience across a range of construction and highways maintenance activities. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Central London.
Responsibilities
- Pursuing your studies to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours of a highways maintenance operative.
- Being responsible for the successful completion of your apprenticeship and gaining work related qualifications including your End Point Assessment.
- Working with the site team to deliver works required efficiently and to a safe standard.
- Working in conjunction with the site team to ensure that all tools and equipment are looked after, stored safely and securely and that any defects are reported to your manager.
- Reporting any incidents, accidents or points of concern to your line manager or the site management.
- Working as part of a team on site as required and taking instructions from site management.
Qualifications
- Ideally, a grade 4 or above in both Maths and English GCSE.
- Reliable, hardworking and have a genuine interest in the construction industry.
- Good communication and the ability to follow instructions are required for this role.
