FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our Water and Drainage Management division. As our Yard Operative, you will be responsible for assisting with the facilitation of our cleansing and treatment process of the waste which is brought in daily from our gully trucks. Your role will vary from assisting with reversing the vehicles to tip, to ensuring that the waste is processed correctly and that the machine is working efficiently. This is a permanent, full-time position from our Rayleigh depot.
The duties of the Yard Operative role will include:
- Maintaining the Drainage Treatment Plant at the depot
- Tipping waste from the gully trucks
- Reporting any defects accurately and in a timely manner, to your line manager
- Inspecting every load that enters the site
- Carrying out daily defect checks of all yard activities and reporting any defects immediately
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for a Yard Operative who has knowledge of health and safety and ideally has a background in the waste industry. A driving license and access to your own vehicle is required due to the remote location of the yard.
