Position
Traffic Management CAD Technician – Full‑time, permanent, based at the Ipswich depot.
Responsibilities
- Work with Traffic Management development designers and Project Engineers to ensure drawings meet legal and high‑quality standards.
- Produce clear drawings, signage placement layouts, and diversion route strategies.
- Develop safe and efficient traffic management plans for work sites and the road network.
- Carry out on‑site assessments as required.
- Design sites in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Management Scheme.
- Engage with Project Teams and Engineers to adapt designs to working methods that require traffic management solutions compliant with legal standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong knowledge of Traffic Management operations and experience with CAD, BricsCAD, and Cone 11 software.
- Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong prioritisation, and the capacity to work well under pressure.
- Desirable: M7 Lantra qualification.
