FM Conway is currently recruiting an experienced

HGV Fitter to join our Plant and Workshop division based out of our Heathrow depot.

Working within our busy and vibrant team at our Heathrow workshop, you will work on our wide range of commercial vehicles, maintaining our large fleet of HGV & LGV transport to a high standard.

This is a permanent, full‑time position.

The duties of the HGV Fitter role will include

  • Maintaining our large fleet of HGV & LGV vehicles.
  • Completing paperwork following any maintenance activities.
  • Working as part of a team or remotely and adapting your skills to other areas when required.
  • Working safely in compliance with risk assessments and method statements and being willing to challenge any unsafe practices.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Professional and confident candidate with experience in commercial vehicles and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, busy environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • City & Guilds 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent NVQ in standard motor mechanics.
  • Knowledge of cranes, white lining equipment, and hydraulic systems is desirable.
