FM Conway is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Unit Manager to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will support the safe and efficient running of the Asphalt Plant, ensuring compliance, high performance, and continual improvement. This is a fullâtime, permanent position based at our Heathrow Asphalt Plant.
Responsibilities
- Support the Unit Manager in all aspects of asphalt plant operation.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure plant reliability and performance.
- Manage stock levels and liaise with the shipping agency to arrange replenishment.
- Oversee mixing plans and production to maximise efficiency and quality.
- Analyse KPI data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support, motivate and develop operational teams to achieve excellence.
- Ensure accurate reporting of incidents and maintain high safety standards.
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for a proactive leader with strong asphalt or aggregates operational experience and a solid understanding of health and safety standards. You will be commercially aware, computer literate and capable of managing teams in a fast paced environment. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
