FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Management division based from our Chelsfield depot. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts. Opportunities for overtime and night work will also be regularly available at an industry-leading rate.
The duties of the Traffic Management Operative role will include:
- Setting up temporary traffic lights as required.
- Assisting with the diversion of traffic.
- Maintaining and removing the traffic lights within the required time scale.
- Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring the public abides by lights.
- Working closely with management and crews and taking instructions from the management team.
- Ensuring that sites are safe and carrying out on-site assessments.
- Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate people are notified.
- To be available on a rota basis for out-of-hours on-call duty if needed.
What skills and experience do you need?
To be considered for this role you will have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card and a traffic management Lantra tickets. You must also be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and be aware and comply with the provided RAMS.
