About the role
FM Conway is seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dedicated Water and Drainage Management team. In this vital role, you will help protect communities and keep essential infrastructure running smoothly. Working as part of a two-person crew, you are at the front line of drainage operations, from drain cleaning and clearance to repair and maintenance work. Using specialised vehicles and equipment, you help ensure water flows freely through drainage systems, preventing flooding, minimising disruption, and supporting a healthier environment. This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.
Duties
- Carry out a wide range of drainage services, including high‑pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean, and maintain drainage networks.
- Respond promptly to drainage issues and emergency call‑outs, tackling blockages, overflows, and other urgent problems to keep water flowing safely and efficiently.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance by clearing, cleaning, and repairing drainage systems as part of routine operations or urgent interventions.
- Accurately record and report all work carried out, including identifying and flagging any additional issues that require follow‑up.
- Use the app‑based reporting system to update job progress, upload photos and videos, and ensure clear communication with the wider team.
Skills and experience required
We’re looking for reliable, committed individuals who hold a Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC. Demonstrating a strong commitment to health and safety is essential. While previous experience in the drainage industry is preferred, full training can be provided for the right candidate.
