Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to support the sales and deployment of our Student Financial Software across UK Higher Education institutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in engaging with clients, understanding their business needs, and demonstrating how our solution integrates with U4 Agresso (Unit4 ERP) alongside Tribal Student Management System (SITS), and other financial and student systems.
This role requires deep technical knowledge of UK Higher Education sector processes, financial systems, and student lifecycle operations. The candidate must be adept at bridging the gap between customer requirements and technical solution design.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored product demonstrations.
- Act as the technical expert during the sales cycle, providing in-depth product knowledge and integration capabilities.
- Design and document solution architectures that demonstrate how Flywire’s Student Financial Software integrates with U4 Agresso, Tribal SITS, and other systems.
- Lead customer workshops, proof-of-concept sessions, and technical deep dives.
- Provide pre-sales technical support including responding to RFPs, RFIs, and customer queries.
- Work closely with product, delivery, and support teams to ensure seamless handover from pre-sales to implementation.
- Stay up-to-date on UK Higher Education sector regulations, processes, and digital transformation trends.
- Develop and maintain technical pre-sales materials such as product collateral, technical proposals, and integration diagrams.
Qualifications
Here\’s What We\’re Looking for:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant or similar customer-facing technical role.
- In-depth knowledge of U4 Agresso (Unit4 ERP) and ideally knowledge of Tribal Student Management System (SITS).
- Strong understanding of UK Higher Education sector business processes, particularly student finance, billing, and debt management.
- Experience with one or more of the following systems: Oracle Peoplesoft, Oracle Fusion, or Ellucian Banner / Colleague systems.
- Ability to design and communicate system integrations using APIs, middleware, and data exchange technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a consultative approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with cloud-based financial and student management systems.
- Understanding of higher education funding models, tuition fees, and debt collection processes.
- Knowledge of SQL, XML, JSON, and other data exchange formats.
- Project management or business analysis certification.
