THE ROLE
We are looking for an IT Education Engineer to join our dynamic team at Nexus, for a school near Salisbury. In this role you will provide great customer service to our schools, whilst providing high quality IT tech support. You may have been or currently an IT technician on a school site or education setting and can therefore ‘talk school’ and be familiar with the apps that schools use.
Your main responsibilities will be doing basic fixes, triaging tickets to the helpdesk and making sure that they are handled and prioritised accordingly. You will be responsible for supporting the IT services of the school, with a particular emphasis on customer service.
Nexus Associates are looking for a talented and motivated IT technician who has a real flair for technology and thrives on providing exemplary customer service to support a prestigious school in the Stonehenge area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve incidents or changes allocated to you by your line manager
- Maintain focus on the whole life of service delivery, from the first touch point to the closure of the incident
- Supporting the team to build a culture of continuous improvement
- Maintain a close view of incidents and their impacts on BAU activities
- Accurately document and record IT services to support our remote and local team
- Be responsive to requests for support whilst delivering against agreed SLA’s and objectives.
THE SUCCESSFUL PERSON
- Be proficient in Microsoft technologies
- Experience in a technical support or service delivery function with an IT environment, preferably supporting school, academies and/or MATs
- Willing to learn any bespoke software systems of the school
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Must be able to follow instructions and document processes
- Must be able to work the following hours 8am to 4.30pm on site
