FLYTE are partnered with a consultancy based in Dorking that specialise in delivering world-class engineering expertise to clients across high-tech and challenging sectors. With a reputation for excellence in design and analysis, they work closely with high profile customers in industries such as space, aerospace, nuclear, marine, gas turbines, green energy, defence, and research.

After a record 2024 and start to 2025, and success with winning several new long term projects, they’re looking to grow their team with the appointment of a highly technical lead mechanical design and development engineer to take responsibility for the following:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components, using advanced CAD tools (NX).
  • Utilise core mechanical engineering skills (GD&T, tolerance analysis, hand calcs, first principles).
  • Conduct detailed structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA, CFD, and other simulation tools to ensure the reliability and performance of designs.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, ensuring designs meet all requirements for safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Interface with clients to understand their needs, present technical solutions, and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle.
